Arrest made after disturbance at Butler Police Department

On 11/25/2024, Dale Kinsman came to the Butler Police Department wishing to make a report. After speaking with an Officer, he was advised that the issue in question was civil in nature and that there was not a crime that occurred.

Mr. Kinsman then became extremely agitated and continuously moved towards the officer in a threatening manner. Kinsman was asked to leave multiple times. Kinsman screamed at the officer while approaching him quickly in a threatening manner. Kinsman was then taken into custody.

While taking Kinsman into custody, an Officer sustained minor injuries. The Officer was later treated and released at the hospital.

Mr. Kinsman was transported to the Bates County Jail and received the following charges:

Disorderly Conduct
Assault - 2nd Degree - Special Victim

Dale Kinsman was assigned a bond amount of $25,000 Cash or Surety.
