On December 10th at around 10:30 PM, one of your Belton Police Officers noticed a white F-150 making a very slow turn from N Scott onto Markey Rd. The observant officer decided to follow the vehicle and observe.
The officer noticed that the driver (Charles H Johnson Jr) was jerking right when oncoming traffic passed and jerking back to the left when he got too close to the shoulder. Your officer stopped Johnson and determined that he had a revoked driver's license and appeared to be intoxicated.
Further investigation revealed that Johnson had a BAC twice the legal limit, he had 4 previous DWI convictions and 5 previous driving while revoked / suspended convictions.
Johnson has been charged by the Cass County Prosecutor's Office with habitual DWI (Class B Felony). Johnson is now being held in the Cass County Jail on a $250,000 CASH ONLY bond.
