Obituary - Roberta Lynn Burger

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Roberta Lynn Burger, who peacefully left us on December 6, 2024, at her home. Robyn's life was a testament to her deep passion for people, her dedication to law enforcement, and her unwavering love for her family.

Robyn was born on June 1, 1965, in Des Moines, IA, to Kenneth and Cleonia Burger. From a young age, Robyn exhibited a compassionate heart and a strong desire to help others. She graduated from Saydel High School and pursued a career in law enforcement, where she made a significant impact with her unwavering commitment to justice and community service.

In 1991, Robyn married Barbara Ann Quick, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. They raised Savannah Carol Strickland, Randall Leonard Porter, Kylee Madison Strickland, and Jacobee Nathan Strickland, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and integrity.

Robyn was not only dedicated to her profession and family but also found immense joy in her hobbies, which included fishing, camping, and woodworking. Her family-oriented nature and passion for these activities brought her and her loved one's countless cherished moments.

Robyn is survived by her loving wife, Barbara Ann Quick; her parents, Kenneth and Cleonia Burger; her daughter, Savannah Carol Strickland; her son, Randall Leonard Porter (Melissa); her granddaughter, Kylee Madison Strickland (Chace); her granddaughter, Abigail Rose Porter; her great-grandson, Tanner Braxton McDuffy; her great-granddaughter, Lucy Madelyn Saige Hamilton; her great-grandson, Britain Jayce Burrus; and her great-granddaughter, Molly Meredith Burrus. She is also survived by her brothers, Eric Allen Fisher (Sharon) and Andrew Phillip Barkley (Brookann); her sisters, Ramona Gail Tilley (Danny) and Suzanne Renee Sosby (Craig); and her best friend, Bama Sue Robinson (Bret). She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, and all who knew and loved her.

The visitation will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, December 14th, with services immediately following at 12:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO. Friends and family are invited to share their memories and honor the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Robyn's light will continue to shine through the lives she touched. Rest in peace, dear Robyn. Your memory will forever be in our hearts.
