Virginia Irene Paul, 79, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. She was born August 18, 1945 in Sedalia, Missouri, a daughter of Joseph Milton and Margaret Francis (White) Lewis. She spent her early years in Sedalia, and was a 1963 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia.
Virginia was united in marriage to Gary W. Paul on September 4, 1964 in Sedalia. They lived in Lee's Summit, MO for a couple of years before moving to Harrisonville in 1969. Virginia was a Drivers Examination Clerk for the Missouri State Highway Patrol in the Harrisonville office for 21 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Harrisonville, was a volunteer for the Harrisonville Senior Center and Meals on Wheels, and was a member of the Cass Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. Virginia loved spending time with the grandkids, enjoyed music and line dancing.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Roy, Bob, Walter, Kenneth, and Cecil; and five sisters, Bea Cole, Luetta Novak, Lena Taylor, Velma Shackles, and Cora Lewis. She is survived by her husband, Gary Paul, Harrisonville, MO; two daughters, Shelly Grubb, Lone Jack, MO; and Shawna Casper, Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Harold Lewis, Millport, AL; and Lloyd Lewis, Bates City, MO; seven grandchildren: Alisha, Jessica, Mickaela, Miranda, Jordan, Jonah and Emily; two great-grandchildren, Kaycee and Dimitri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church in Harrisonville, Mo
