BCSO announces new text alert system is up and running

The new messaging system is live! If you received the following message, “Welcome to Bates County Sheriff's Office text alerts! You are opted-in to receive general alerts for emergencies, weather, and more. Learn more here: https://shorturl.at/c2fMR Reply STOP to opt-out.”, it was NOT A SCAM.

Our new system allows us to be able to send messages to individuals who sign up on our website, via text message, numbers who were previously signed up to our prior messaging system, and from phone numbers registered at addresses within the county.
