Help is needed following fire that destroyed home near Ballard


Update- The school has received 10 bags of clothes and will no longer be accepting clothes however, monetary donations are still being accepted. Thank you!

Multiple agencies responded to a structure fire yesterday near Ballard but were not able to save it. The following is a plea from the Ballard school district for help

Dear Ballard Bulldog Families, 

We are deeply saddened to learn about the recent fire that destroyed the Diggs’s family home. As a school community, we want to express our heartfelt support and offer assistance during this difficult time.

We understand the immense challenges they are facing and want to assure them that our school family is here to help in any way we can.

Here are a few ways we will be offering support:

Donation Drop-Off-
We are collecting new or gently used clothing at the Superintendent’s office from 12 pm-3 pm tomorrow 2/19/25 and will update more times once school resumes after the weather is past.
● Sizes are:
● For the girls (there are 3 girls):
● Shirts - x-small, small and medium
● Jeans – sizes 3 to 7
● Shoes – women’s 7.5, 8, and 8.5
● For the adults
● Shirts – medium (women’s) large (men’s)
● Jeans – 12 (women’s) and 32-33/34
● Shoes – 10.5 (men’s)

Financial Assistance:
We will also be creating a donation fund to help with immediate needs. You can contribute cash, prepaid credit cards, or gift cards.
We are thinking of the Diggs’s family during this challenging time. Please know that our Ballard Bulldog Community is here to support them. Thanks for helping us take care of our students in their time of need.
