Michelle was born on June 9, 1964, in Harrisonville, MO, a daughter of Robert R. and Carol “Susie” Sue (Bailey) Price. Her father, Bob, was a Sergeant on the Missouri Highway Patrol stationed in Harrisonville, and the family moved to Warrensburg, Marshall, and Lee’s Summit, MO. Michelle was a 1982 graduate of Lee’s Summit High School. She was united in marriage to Karl Blackston on November 12, 2011, in Lee’s Summit, MO, and they made their home together in Pleasant Hill in 2015.
Michelle worked as a receptionist at a number of law firms in the area. She was very active in her church, loved the Kansas City Chiefs, and took many cruises from Galveston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Michelle is survived by her husband, Karl Blackston; her son, Austin Walker; her daughter, Sarah Walker; two sisters: Jannell and Tim Wasson; and Lisa and Ed Schifferdecker; nieces and nephews: Emily and Lindsey Schifferdecker, Brent Wasson, Kristen and Derek Carter; and many other relatives and friends.
