Just trying to keep everybody posted on what's going on earlier we had approximately 4100 people out of power across the county we have now mitigated that down to around 1000 out of power. Evergy, Barton county electric, and Sac Osage are working diligently to get power restored we do not have a timeline for that. I would like to say thank the good Lord we sustained very minimal injuries. And no death are reported at this time. Volunteer station is set up at the centennial Hall building on the fairgrounds. I have staff there to assist you and volunteer first responders to assist you. Just want everybody to be careful around power lines that are down they are getting them cleaned up as quick as they can and structures that are weak from the impact of the storm please be very careful around that stuff as well. I have the state agencies such as highway patrol sema on hand to assist with anything that we need. We are increasing patrol tonight.

I want everybody to know that Nevada fire and the City of Nevada if you were out of a place to stay the community center has cots in there the American Red Cross the salvation army are making their rounds we have them on scene as well to assist in anything that we need for that. I will be trying to keep everybody posted throughout the night. Again I want to thank all the surrounding agencies that reached out and showed up without being asked thank you guys.
