MSHP investigating fatal crash near Truman Lake

The Missouri Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash this afternoon that has claimed at least one victim along the "mile long bridge" on 7 highway over Truman Lake. Early reports indicate following a head-on collision, one vehicle plunged off the bridge and into the water.

Recovery efforts may take some additional time; bridge traffic may be reduced to one lane for several hours.
