This year we created a scholarship program and gave out four $500 scholarships to local area seniors. The program is based on "entrepreneurship" and targeted applicants who hope to be future business owners. Applicants were required to think "outside the box" and propose their business plans, including ideas for location, product/services, advertising, staffing, funding, and their reasons "why" they desire to be an entrepreneur.
