Eleven local Veterans each received a Quilt of Valor from Rocking Chair Quilts today as part of the Flag Day ceremonies held on the Bates County Courthouse lawn
Recipients were L-R: Jason Bennett, Army; Larry Carrel, Navy; Steve Hubbard, Army (Purple Heart); Earl Kammerer, Navy; Michael McDaniel, Air Force; Ron Nissen, Air Force; Gary Ratliff, Army (Purple Heart); Christy Ratliff, Army and James Stocklaufer, Marine Corp. Loyd Quick and Kenneth Ruhs pictured below.
Each also received a certificate with the quilt as well as a special pillow case and a commemorative lapel pin.
