Over the weekend Edwin Meyer, age 8, from Adrian Missouri won first place in the Micro 3 (ages 7-8) Limited class at the AMA amateur national motocross championship at Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
He went 1-1 in the first two motos and in the third moto he wrecked the first lap and pushed through the crowd to finish 4th. In his interview after moto 3, he says he thinks he sprained or fractured his ankle in the wreck- but continued despite adversity.
Edwin also competed in the 65cc (7-9) Limited class and took 6th overall.
