Officer Hsiao has been a certified law enforcement officer since 2022, serving communities similar in size and character to La Cygne. He brings a unique and valuable combination of intellectual insight and tactical expertise to our team.
In his full-time career as a college professor, Officer Hsiao developed a strong interest in law enforcement through his work teaching applied ethics, particularly as it intersects with the criminal justice system. His academic background enhances his approach to policing, blending thoughtful analysis with real-world application.
Officer Hsiao has shown his commitment to professional excellence by earning certifications as a Master Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer (F.T.O.), and in Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (A.R.I.D.E.).
