Trailer fire slows traffic on I-49 near Adrian

The Adrian Fire Department was summoned earlier today to  southbound I-49 near mile marker 139.8 on a report of a trailer fire. An issue related to the rear axle appears to have started the fire and precautions were taken to insure the contents were not explosive before approaching the vehicle; the fire was extinguished a short time later. 

No injuries were reported.
