Janet Sue Wright was born July 27, 1973 to Dannie and Virginia Sue skinner in excelsior springs, mo. Janet was raised and went to school in Belton, MO. She went on to be the proud mother of Britney, born 1990 and Jennifer born 1993. As much would happen, she later reunited with the love of her life Mark Lukenbill. Together they created a happy life full of love and laughter. Janet was well known throughout her community as an employee of a local gas station. She loved family gatherings, cooking (bbq), puzzles, shopping, thrifting, the Kansas City chiefs, scratchers, corn hole, and card games. Her passion was spending time with family, and spoiling her grandchildren who knew her as maw-maw. Janet is survived by her soulmate Mark, two sisters, Dana (Joel), Georgia (Andrew), two daughters, Britney, Jennifer (Ryan), five grandchildren Ashlynn, McKenna, Emersyn, Ryder, and Rylee. Niece Alexis (Isaac), nephew Colby, great nieces Evie and Athena, and a well loved family member Asa. Janet will be remembered by all for her generous, welcoming heart, funny sense of humor, and magnetic personality. She will be missed dearly. She would want people to celebrate the joy and laughter she shared with all, not the sorrow of a temporary goodbye.
Cremation with a celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Garden City Community Building, Garden City, Missouri.
