Sheriff Aaron Brown reports the following arrests and incidents for the week:
• September 19, 2025 – Warrant:
Deputy McQueen conducted a warrant service and arrested Brian Meyers, age 56, of Deepwater on two Henry County felony warrants for leaving the scene of an accident, driving while suspended or revoked, no proof of insurance, and driving while suspended or revoked.
• September 19, 2025 – Domestic Assault 3rd Degree:
Sergeant Brandt, Detective Swartz, and Deputy McQueen responded to a physical domestic disturbance in progress involving a firearm. The investigation led to the arrest of Kassidy Johnson, age 21, of Deepwater on a 24-hour hold for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. On the same day, the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office filed formal charges, and a warrant was issued for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
• September 19, 2025 – Failure to Register as a Sex Offender:
Captain Bilbruck and Detective Baker conducted a sex offender compliance check in the Clinton area that led to the arrest of John Swisher, age 27, of Clinton for failing to register as a sex offender.
• September 21, 2025 – Domestic Assault 3rd Degree:
Deputy McQueen responded to a domestic disturbance in progress. The investigation led to the arrest of Nina Sutcliffe, age 48, of Deepwater on a 24-hour investigative hold for Burglary 1st Degree, Domestic Assault 3rd Degree, and Sexual Misconduct 2nd Degree. On the same day, the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office filed formal charges, and a warrant was issued for Burglary 1st Degree.
• September 21, 2025 – Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident:
Deputy Murphy conducted a follow-up investigation of a motor vehicle accident that led to the arrest of Tristan Dawson, age 34, of Windsor for leaving the scene of an accident.
• September 22, 2025 – Domestic Assault 3rd Degree:
Lt. Kubilus, Detective Stutzman, Deputy Moree, and Deputy Hinkle responded to a physical disturbance in progress where a child was reported to have been choked. As a result of the investigation, David Boonstra, age 25, of Calhoun was arrested on a 24-hour investigative hold for Domestic Assault 3rd Degree. On the same day, the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office filed formal charges, and a warrant was issued for two counts of Domestic Assault 3rd Degree and Abuse or Neglect of a Child.
• September 23, 2025 – Burglary / Drug Paraphernalia:
Deputy McQueen and Deputy Evans responded to a stealing-in-progress call in the Windsor area. The investigation led to the arrest of Travis Ebeck, age 46, of Windsor for Burglary 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
• September 23, 2025 – Warrant:
Lt. Kubilus, Detective Swartz, and Deputy Murphy assisted the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle that failed to yield. The subject fled on foot. David Leonard, age 45, of Park Hill was arrested on Henry County warrants for Assault, Possession of a Controlled Substance x2, Resisting Arrest, Property Damage, Driving While Suspended, and No Insurance, as well as a Barton County warrant.
• September 23, 2025 – Possession of a Controlled Substance:
Deputy Douglas conducted a traffic stop in the Windsor area that resulted in the arrest of Tristan Dawson, age 34, of Sedalia for Driving Without a License and Cheryl Kalkman, age 64, of Sedalia for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
• September 24, 2025 – Failure to Register as a Sex Offender:
Captain Bilbruck and Detective Baker conducted a sex offender compliance check in the Urich area that led to the arrest of Christopher Clevenger, age 43, of Urich for failing to register as a sex offender.
