According to information on file with the Bates County Circuit Court, John Robert Lewis, 38, of Butler Mo was taken into custody and is currently being held on a $2,000,000 cash only bond on the following charges:

Arraignment will be held at 3 pm on October 24, 2025 before Judge Julie Highley-Keutzer in the Bates County Circuit Court.

Due to the nature of the Unclassified charges above, Lewis could face life imprisonment under Missouri statute.
