Earlene was raised in the Horton area. She attended Nevada High School where she graduated in 1955. After working at Nellie Don for number of years in 1975 she began working at Citizen’s Bank in Nevada and worked there until her retirement in 2003. Earlene enjoyed flowers, gardening, and vacationing in Colorado as well as other places. She also enjoyed luncheons with the Class of 1955 at Buzz’s BBQ, and riding in the golf cart at the Nevada Country Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Terri Myers, Nevada; two grandsons, Jason Claspill (Audra), Nevada, and Justin Claspill, Overland Park; two great-grandchildren, Korbyn Claspill and Zoe Claspill, both of Red Oak, IA; a cousin, Nancy Scism (Dale), Nevada; and a special friend, Sue Rich, Nevada.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with Jason Claspill officiating.
