Warren Jay Schlueter, age 63 of Hume, Missouri died Sunday, October 12, 2025 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born September 15, 1962 to Roger George and Catherine Dixie Lee Schlueter in Robinsdale, Minnesota.

Warren, one of two children, grew up and lived in Foster, Missouri.  He graduated from Butler High School in 1981.  While in high school, Warren obtained the title of state wrestling champion, an accomplishment that he was very proud of.  Warren married the love of his life, Linda Ann on August 10, 1991 and from this union, two children were born. He spent the majority of his working career as a dairy farmer.  For 11 years Warren was employed at Heartland Hospital in Nevada, Missouri holding many positions.  He was a member of the Schell City Christian Church.

Warren was a loving father, grandfather and husband.  He would tell Linda daily how much he cared for and loved her.  Warren enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and spending time with his family–by showing them how things worked on the farm or playing with his granddaughters.  Warren passed down his knowledge of wrestling, teaching his kids moves when they were growing up.  He was able to bring a laugh or a smile to someone’s face through a funny joke or a story.  Warren also could raise anyone’s spirit through song even when he was sick.  He often sang for the nurses in the hospital, many stopping in his room just to hear him.  He had a knack for giving everyone a nickname.  Even though he is gone, his memory will live on through stories, nicknames and songs.

Warren is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Schlueter of Hume, Missouri; one son, Andrew Schlueter of Hume, Missouri; one daughter, Mary Ann Olive and husband Chandler of Hume, Missouri;  four granddaughters, Anna Bell Olive, Hailey Renae Olive, Chloe Ann Olive and Chelsea LeeAnn-Sue Olive; one sister, Rena Schlueter of Joplin, Missouri; and many nephews and nieces.  Warren was preceded in death by his parents.
