Cleveland man seriously injured when vehicle strikes tree

Around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, a Cleveland Mo. man was seriously injured when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree on Prospect avenue near east 231st street. The highway patrol says the vehicle skidded before leaving the left side of the roadway resulting in the accident.

The man was transported to to Overland Park Regional medical center for treatment. The 2024 Kawasaki ATV was a total loss.

The Missouri Highway Patrol no longer provides names of accident victims in publicly available reports.
