Holiday leftovers tips

Happy Thanksgiving!

Enjoy your holiday feast, but don’t let those delicious leftovers go to waste! Freezing is a simple way to save money, reduce food waste and keep your favorite dishes ready for another day.
Here are some quick tips for freezing holiday leftovers:
• Cool before freezing: Refrigerate within 2 hours, then freeze once cooled. Use smaller containers for faster cooling.
• Pick the right container: Use freezer-safe, airtight options like zip-top bags or durable containers.
• Know what freezes well: Meats, soups, pies, cookies and casseroles are great choices. Avoid dishes heavy in mayo or milk sauces because they don’t thaw well.
• Label & date: Include the food name and date for easy tracking.
• Keep it cold: Freezer temp should be 0°F. Don’t overfill!
• Storage time: Most leftovers stay fresh for 3–4 months.
