Youth Posse take in a day of learning

On November 10th,
the Bates County Youth Posse took a behind-the-scenes look at how emergency services operate, thanks to an incredible overview and tour led by Sergeant Sarah Mears. From learning how 911 calls are received and dispatched to seeing the heart of our county’s communication system in action, it was an eye-opening experience!

We wrapped up the day with an informative presentation on Search and Rescue teamwork, shared by Posse member Shelly Harrison. Her insights reminded us that service, coordination, and trust are key when lives are on the line.
Missed getting many pictures but a big thanks to everyone who made this learning opportunity possible!
