Cistern issue at Bates County Courthouse being resolved today

 

A few weeks back during the sidewalk renovation at the Bates County Courthouse, a large cistern was discovered under the sidewalk at the south entrance. Today, crews are filling the hole with sand and upon completion, will cap the hole with concrete and rebar as it was before.
