Hilt found guilty on three charges in Bates County Circuit Court

At the Bates County Courthouse, a jury on Monday found Dallas Hilt guilty on three separate counts stemming from a June 2022 traffic stop.

Hilt was charged in June of 2022 with driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

Assistant Prosecutor Cody Johnson represented the State. Hilt chose to represent himself at Tuesday’s proceedings.

The jury deliberated for almost an hour before returning the guilty verdict.  Assistant Prosecutor Johnson says sentencing is set for April 9th by Associate Judge Julie Highley.
