Obituary - Timothy James Blair

Timothy James Blair, 83, of Harrisonville, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. In honoring Tim's wishes, he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. In memory of Tim, contributions can be made to the Harrisonville Animal Shelter.

Born on July 9, 1942, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Tim was the beloved son of Lloyd and Cleda (Willis) Blair. He dedicated his life to his family, marrying the love of his life, Leevona Nelson, on November 26, 1964, in Independence, Missouri. In 1967, they made Harrisonville their cherished home, where they created countless memories together.

Tim's gentle spirit and unwavering love for his family were evident in everything he did. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a doting grandfather to his two granddaughters, Hannah and Maya York. His joy for life shone through during the many family outings, especially during their cherished trips to Minnesota, which he looked forward to each year.

With a career that spanned over 40 years with Western Electric/AT&T, Tim was known not only for his hard work and dedication but also for his genuine kindness and charm. After retiring, he and Leevona pursued their passion for antiques by opening Keeper's Antique Mall in Harrisonville, where Tim found joy in conversing with customers and fellow collectors. His love for antiques transcended into a lifelong hobby that brought joy to many, reflecting his knack for connecting with people.

Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Karen Fatout. He is survived by his loving wife, Leevona; his son, Eric Blair; his daughter, Kim York; his two granddaughters, Hannah and Maya York; his sister, Mary Chambers; and his loyal dog, Oliver.
