Butler Lady Bears pull away late to defeat Harrisonville Lady Wildcats

The Butler Lady Bears earned another win over Harrisonville, using a strong second half to secure a 43–37 victory.

Butler set the tone early, taking a 15–8 lead after the first quarter behind balanced scoring and steady defensive pressure. The Lady Bears continued to control the pace in the second quarter, extending the advantage and carrying a 20–16 lead into halftime.

Harrisonville made a push coming out of the break, trimming the margin in the third quarter as both teams traded baskets. Butler remained composed, answering each run and holding a 26–21 edge heading into the final period.

In the fourth quarter, the Lady Bears closed the game with poise, knocking down timely shots and limiting Harrisonville’s opportunities to complete the comeback. Butler finished with 17 points in the final frame to seal the six-point win.

Kylee Dubray led Butler with 17 points. Gabbie Carmichael added 12, and Kiersten Dubray finished with 8 to round out Butler’s top scorers in the win.

With the win, the Lady Bears continue to show consistency and resilience, once again finding a way to close out a familiar opponent.
