Obituary - Vernon William Kiger

Vernon William Kiger, age 74 of Reeds Spring, Missouri died Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at his home. He was born May 8, 1951 to Vernon Leroy and Leoma LaDean Hart Kiger in Rich Hill, Missouri.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kiger of Reeds Spring, Missouri; three sons; one stepson, Bobby Hancock and wife Dayna of Alexander, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and one sister, Kathy Hopper and husband Ron of Stockton, Missouri. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Leoma Kiger; and four siblings, Phyllis Stout, Ladeana Ghan, Danny Kiger and Jimmy Hill.

Graveside services were held March 27, 2026 at Balltown Cemetery in Horton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel and Crematory (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Online condolences www.schowengerdtchapel.com.
