Rough night lands assistant superintendant in hot water

According to a probable cause statement provided by the Camden county Missouri sheriff's department, on March 18, 2026 a Harrisonville schools 
Assistant Superintendent will now face  charges of 1st degree trespass and 2nd degree property damage.

The statement contends that Joseph Parkhurst, 39,  of Harrisonville entered a Camden county bar after hours, consumed alcohol and caused property damage estimated to be up to $500. Damages listed included a broken telephone, a light fixture, a ceiling tile and a computer among others. 

At the time of the arrest, Parkhurst's blood alcohol content was .164 and he declined to make a statement following being read his Miranda rights.

Parkhurst is to appear in the Camden County Circuit Court on April 21, 2026 at 9 am for sentencing on what are listed as misdemeanor charges.
