Due to errors published on Wednesday, we would like to make the following corrections to the Butler city council news regarding Jaycee Park discussions:
1. The headline was intended to read "City of Butler asked to consider selling Jaycee Park"
2. There are no active plans to sell the property. In a previous council meeting a neighbor of the park expressed concern that a homeless person may be frequenting the area.
3. Other topics regarding the park were discussed which included how much the park was actually used, bringing into question whether or not it is worth maintaining overall, thus bringing the question of selling.
4. Further discussions regarding the disposition of the park may be held and will be reported accordingly.
Jaycee Park is located just north of the pickleball courts between High and Parkview streets in south Butler.
