Harrisonville schools announce administrative positions have been filled


Harrisonville Schools has named new leaders for two district administrative positions for the 2026-27 school year, including assistant superintendent of HR and operations and principal of McEowen Elementary School. Dr. Tricia Falke will serve as the new assistant superintendent of HR and operations, and Dr. Jason Farnsworth, current assistant principal at McEowen, will fill the principal position at McEowen Elementary School.
Dr. Falke’s appointment follows the resignation of Dr. Joseph Parkhurst from the assistant superintendent role earlier this month.
Dr. Tricia Falke currently serves as principal of McEowen Elementary School, where she has served for two years. Prior to that, she served for six years at Harrisonville Elementary School, including three years as assistant principal and three years as principal. Before joining Harrisonville Schools, Dr. Falke taught elementary and middle school for 14 years in the Lee’s Summit and Liberty school districts and also served in three support staff roles in the Grandview School District.
Dr. Falke earned a Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership from Friends University, a master’s degree in teaching from the University of Central Missouri, an education specialist degree in school administration from the University of Central Missouri, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Dr. Falke has been married to her husband, Chris, for 22 years. He works as a service technician for Overhead Door Co. They have three children: Alexandra, who is double majoring in dance and child psychology at Loyola Marymount University in California; Raegan, who will attend Northwest Missouri State University this fall to study nursing; and Cole, who will enter eighth grade at Summit Lakes Middle School.
Dr. Farnsworth has spent his entire career in Harrisonville Schools. He currently serves as assistant principal at McEowen, where he has served for one year. Prior to that, Dr. Farnsworth served as assistant principal at Harrisonville High School for 17 years. He began his career as a communication arts teacher at HHS in 2001.
Dr. Farnsworth earned a Bachelor of Science in English education from the University of Central Missouri. He also earned a master’s degree in school leadership and a doctorate in educational leadership from Baker University.
Dr. Farnsworth has been married to his wife, Sara, for 28 years. She is a process coordinator for Independence Schools. They have two children: Krista, who is an education major at the University of Central Missouri, and Cody, who attends college in California majoring in marine biology.
Dr. Falke will officially begin her new role June 1, 2026, and Dr. Farnsworth will begin his role at the start of the 2026-27 school year.
