At this week's Nevada City Council meeting, Mayor Branham presented the Nevada Police Department with a proclamation declaring May 10–16, 2026, as National Police Week in the City of Nevada.
The proclamation also recognized May 15, 2026, as Peace Officers Memorial Day, honoring those officers who have lost their lives or become disabled in the line of duty.
The Nevada Police Department would like to thank the Mayor and City Council for their continued support of our department.
The Nevada Police Department consists of 24 sworn, licensed police officers who serve the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
