Isaac Paul Ortiz, 41, of Belton, MO, went home to the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Adrian Optimist Building in Adrian, Missouri, followed by an interment at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Adrian, MO. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8th, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Brandee Ortiz for the continued support of Isaac’s family.

Isaac was born July 8, 1984, to Pablo Ortiz and Brenda Ortiz in Clinton, MO. He attended Adrian R-3 until graduating with the class of 2003 and was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. Isaac attended Faith Baptist Bible College for a short time before starting his banking career with Country Club Bank (formerly Allen Bank), where he spent many years before moving to Busey Bank (formerly Crossfirst Bank). Isaac is remembered as very hardworking and for often helping and mentoring his coworkers. He was described as being witty, laid back, full of humor, caring, and easy to talk to.

During college, Isaac met his wife through a blind date set up by his brother and his wife. From this connection blossomed a 15-year marriage with the blessing of 3 children and a current pregnancy. As a husband, Isaac expressed his deep love for his bride with countless surprise gifts and trips, described as loving her as if they were newlyweds. As a father, he beamed with pride for his children and their accomplishments, striving to raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Isaac enjoyed watching sports (although sometimes it was hard to tell), spent a lot of time hunting at the family cabin, shooting and building guns, and spending time building relationships with his friends.

Isaac was very devoted to his friends, shown through his loyalty, generosity, and love. He knew when to be serious, but preferred to be goofy, taking any opportunity to joke and laugh. He made time to be a compassionate listener and available at a moment's notice.

As a brother, Isaac is remembered as being part of a group that struggled with taking anything too seriously, always cracking jokes and gently bullying each other. Despite these times and the moments spent “debating” for no apparent reason, the love felt as siblings was genuine, and the countless memories made were precious.

Most importantly, Isaac was a follower of Jesus Christ, having put his faith in Him at a young age, being baptized and serving in various capacities throughout his life, as a youth leader, a deacon, a treasurer, and taking opportunities to share his faith. This faith guided him as an employee, husband, father, and friend.

Isaac is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Brandee Ortiz, children: Isaiah, Josiah, and Ariella; parents Pablo and Brenda Ortiz; siblings: Mark (Bridget) Ortiz, Maria (Brent) Kelso, Dan (Nina) Ortiz, and Matthew (Tara) Ortiz; and 29 Nieces and Nephews. As well as a multitude of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
