Officer involved shooting near Archie remains under investigation

Shortly after 8 am on June 24th, Cass County deputies were summoned to the 32000 block of Dorsett Hill Lane near Archie, MO in response to a disturbance call. 

Upon arrival, deputies found found a man in the driveway with a gun and despite pleas from the officers to put the weapon down, gunfire erupted, leading to the suspect's death.

Officers did take life saving measures however, the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

No officers were injured as the investigation is ongoing; more information is expected in coming days.
