The time capsule itself is a vault that was donated by the Stanley Family. Mound City Vault Company will assist with recovering the vault, which will then be safely stored until its public unveiling on Saturday, July 4. The time capsule will be exhumed ahead of Independence Day to ensure Mound City Vault Company can safely recover it before the holiday.
The public is welcome to watch the exhumation! For everyone's safety, Paul Street will be closed, and a temporary safety fence will be placed around the work area during the recovery. The event will also be live-streamed, and a link to watch will be posted the day of.
Then, join us on Saturday, July 4, as we open the time capsule and unveil its contents!
