On Saturday, Deputies with the Miami County Sheriff's Office responded to an aircraft emergency at the Miami County Airport.
A small aircraft experienced engine issues and made an emergency landing at the airport. Two individuals were on board at the time of the incident and, fortunately, neither was injured. The aircraft sustained minor damage during the emergency landing.
The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating the incident.
We are thankful the occupants were able to land safely and that no injuries were reported.
