Since opening its doors in April 1975, the Bates County Health Center team has been dedicated to a vital mission right here in our community: Prevent, Promote, and Protect. Whether helping a young family through WIC, providing essential immunizations, assisting with birth and death certificates, or offering affordable lab screenings, they serve our neighbors with heart, compassion, and tireless care.
Hands-On Care for Our Community Families
What makes the Health Center so special is how deeply they care about our kids and families beyond clinic walls. They work year-round to keep our community safe, equipped, and supported through fantastic local programs:
Child Passenger Safety & Car Seat Classes: Certified technicians guide expectant moms and parents through proper car seat installation—providing free convertible seats and boosters to help keep our smallest neighbors safe on every drive.
Bike Safety & Helmets: Distributing helmets through local events to keep kids active and protected. Back-to-School Support & Safe Sitter Training: Helping young students get ready for the school year and empowering youth ages 11–13 with essential babysitting, safety, and first-aid skills.
