Butler woman dies in southern Missouri accident

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, Haley Henderson, the wife of Trooper Colten Henderson and daughter-in-law of Retired Corporal Justin Henderson, was tragically killed following a head-on collision involving a wrong-way driver on U.S. 65 in Troop D.
Colten was also injured in the crash, along with their two children, ages 10 and 11. Thankfully, Colten and the children suffered non-life-threatening injuries and have been released from the hospital and are recovering form their injuries.
Please keep Colten, his children, and the entire Henderson family in your thoughts and prayers as they face an unimaginable loss.
For those who have the means and would like to help, a verified GoFundMe has been established by a family friend to assist Colten and his family as they move forward without Haley, a wonderful wife and mother.
GoFundMe – Love for Haley's Family After the Accident:
A note about donating through GoFundMe: GoFundMe may automatically suggest adding a tip to your donation. That tip is completely optional and goes to GoFundMe, not to the Henderson family. You can change the tip amount if you prefer. Your intended donation to the family will still go through.
If you prefer to mail a check, please make it out to "MOSTA" and put "Henderson Family" in the memo and we will electronically transfer 100% of those funds to Colten Henderson. The mailing address is Missouri State Troopers Assn., 1729 E. Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101
Please continue to keep Colten, his children, and all those who loved Haley in your prayers in the difficult days ahead.
Thank you for your support.
