Obituary - Paul (Big Paul) Moeller
Paul (Big Paul) Moeller was born August 10, 1966 to Paul Eskew and Della Manning in Contra Costa county California. He lived in Leavenworth Kansas until the family moved to Blue Mound in June of 1990. Paul quickly established himself in the community, and held various titles as a council member for the city of Blue Mound.
Paul worked as a cook and bartender at various restaurants in the area and developed a renowned reputation for his cooking.
He always wore a smile and had a joke ready for anyone he met. Willing to help anyone that was in need, Paul would go above and beyond. Whether he was delivering meals, visiting people, helping with fund raisers or events that the city had, Paul always seemed to make the time for it.
Paul was an avid numismatist from a young age and over the years has helped establish local clubs for the youths in the area. He was quick to tell you "there are no pennies, only cents."
A strong believer in family ties, Paul was a beloved son, brother, uncle and great uncle. Titles that he cherished deeply and shared not only with his immediate family but with anyone close to him.
Paul sadly lost his battle to cancer on August 28, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, stepfather and other loved ones. He is survived by his siblings, nephews, nieces, great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration memorial will be announced at a later date to honor him. Paul humbly requested that contributions to honor his life be made to American Diabetes Foundation, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, PO Box J, Mound City, KS 66056.
