Obituary - Phyllis Paluch

A graveside service and inurnment for Phyllis Paluch will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2026 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri. No visitation. Phyllis Ann Paluch, age 86 of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the Rehabilitation Center of Independence with her loving granddaughter Rebecca and husband Daniel by her side. She was born May 7, 1940 to Elmer and Ethel O’Neil Pommier in Greenbay, Wisconsin.

Phyllis was small in stature, but her love for her family made her a giant. She once said “We love each other the best we can” and she definitely did.

Phyllis is survived by one son, Robert Paluch (Rhonda); daughter, Tina Sheets (Clyde); three granddaughters, Candice Averett (Jordan), Rebecca Lininger (Daniel) and Carrie Paluch; great-grandkids, Frankie, Ellis, Griffin, Janean, Leanna and JJ; and one sister, Linda Pommier. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Dale; son, Richard Paluch; and two granddaughters, Lyndsey Paluch and Jessica Holt.
