The Archie Police Department would like to remind residents that we will never call you and tell you that you have a warrant for your arrest and demand payment.
The Archie Police Department will never instruct you to withdraw money or take money to a Bitcoin location.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: There is no Sgt. Williams employed by the Archie Police Department. If someone contacts you claiming to be Sgt. Williams with our agency, be aware that this is a scam.
IF YOU RECEIVE A CALL LIKE THIS, IT IS A SCAM!
- Do not send money.
- Do not purchase Bitcoin or gift cards.
- Do not provide personal or financial information.
If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and contact the Archie Police Department directly to verify the information.
