The green space on the southwest corner of the of the Butler square was officially deemed as Heritage Park during a special ceremony during Huckster's Day. Speakers included the Bates County Historical Society, financial contributor Dr. Curtis Long, Mayor Jim Henry and others who worked to bring the park to fruition including the tedious work involved in restoring the murals that serve as some beautiful visual history.
