Our next heart athlete of the week is senior Kimber Vassar.
Coach Cheyenne Bailey said "Kimber has played multiple positions for me throughout her four years, and this spring and summer, we challenged her to step into the role of our six-rotation outside hitter. She did what was best for the team and has absolutely thrived in this position.
Kimber is someone we can count on to make a big defensive play, whether it’s a tough dig or a solid pass in serve-receive. Offensively, she is also one of our top two leaders in kills. Her ability to contribute in every aspect of the game makes her such a valuable part of our team.
Kimber embodies the true meaning of team over me and consistently puts the success of the team before herself. She is incredibly fun to watch compete, and at our last tournament, she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Central Missouri Volleyball Invitational."
