Obituary - Karen Kay Campbell

Karen Kay Campbell, 79, Nevada, MO, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 22, 2026.   Karen was born on May 18, 1947 in Henrietta, MO to Melvin Ray and Mary Cornelius (Moppin) Foley.  She married Keith Campbell in 1967 while he was stationed in Hawaii.

Karen was a true woman of the Lord.  If she had more, she didn’t build a higher fence; she created a longer table, where she welcomed and loved each person for who they were in the eyes of God.  She welcomed everyone with the same open door, a warm meal, and a hug.

Karen spent most weekends surrounded by the love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  They loved her immensely, and she loved them just as much.   She leaves a legacy of bittersweet memories for them to cherish as time passes.

Survivors include her children, Michelle King and Dusty Campbell, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she cherished and adored; grandchildren, Jeremy Swait, Brooklyn Trued, Ashlyn Wools, Cayden Campbell and Morgan Campbell, and great-grandchildren, Griffin, Parker and Spencer Swait, Kynsli, Catherine and Jocelyn Wools, Scarlett and Beckett Campbell, and Rhett and Oaklynn Campbell. She also leaves behind two great-grand-pups, Cleetus and Finn Trued.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Myers and Melvin Ray, and two brothers, Melvin and Mark Foley.

Memorial services to honor Karen’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Ferry Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Russ officiating.
