Just days before her passing, Pat celebrated her 90th birthday surrounded by all of her children. Together, they shared food, laughter, stories, and precious time, creating memories that will forever be treasured. In the days that followed, Pat received many visits from family and friends, surrounding her with love and comfort until her final moments.
Patricia, affectionately known as "Pat" or "Ann" to family and friends, was born on October 12, 1936, in Clinton, Missouri, to Rev. Richard Ivo and Lena Elizabeth (Fellhauer) Skaggs.
Pat grew up in the Clinton area and attended Clinton High School. She spent time living in California before returning to Clinton and later making her home in Urich, Missouri.
Pat held several positions in retail before beginning her career in healthcare as a respiratory therapist at Golden Valley Hospital, where she worked until her retirement.
Pat loved traveling and making memories with her children. Her adventures took her to Las Vegas; Texas; Colorado; Mexico; England; and Canada. She also had a special love for animals, especially her beloved poodle, Lady, who provided companionship and comfort in the years following the passing of her husband, Bob.
Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" Pickens; her parents, Rev. Richard Ivo and Lena Elizabeth Skaggs; her siblings, Thomas Skaggs, Bill Skaggs, Kenneth Skaggs, Clarice Eberting, Donald Skaggs, Sammy Skaggs and Mary Skaggs; and her son-in-law, Charlie "Chuck" Kline Jr.
She is survived by her five children, Martin Burton, Kaylene Kline, Ron Burton, Joyce Burton (Barry Lowe), and Ken Pickens; and her three stepchildren, Steve (Tina) Pickens, Bill (Becki) Pickens, and Ed Pickens.

Pat was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her three siblings, Wreatha Cameron, Nancy Woirhaye and Robert Skaggs, along with many nieces and nephews.
While her family will deeply miss her, they will forever cherish the memories they shared, especially the opportunity to celebrate her 90th birthday together just days before saying goodbye. Her final days were a beautiful reminder of a life surrounded by love.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Pat's honor. Pat was one of her great-grandson's biggest supporters throughout his journey with cystic fibrosis and was incredibly proud of her little warrior.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, in Clinton, Missouri.
