Sherry was raised in Oklahoma and Colorado. She graduated high school in Lamar, CO with the Class of 1972. She was a CNA, waitress, short order cook, and secretary over the years. She came to Nevada in December of 2022 to be near her family. “She was loved and will be missed”.
Sherry is survived by two daughters, Angel Skipper (William), Fair Play, MO and Roberta Adams, Hoxie, KS; a son, David Russell (Linda), San Angelo, TX; her mother, Phyllis Unruh, Fair Play, MO; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four siblings, Terry Rowlan (Debbie), Warsaw, IL, Deana Johansen (David), Nevada, MO, Doug Sparkman (Stacey), Wichita, KS, and Reta Klee (Dennis), Loveland, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her father, Otis Rowlan.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
