Much of what keeps patients safe during a hospital stay happens behind the scenes. Medical-surgical nurses are continually assessing patients for changes in condition, coordinating care with other health professionals, reviewing medications, helping prevent falls and infections, and monitoring progress toward recovery goals.
Their work involves countless clinical decisions and safety checks throughout every shift. Often, they're the ones who recognize potential complications early and help ensure patients receive the care they need.
During Medical-Surgical Nurses Week, we recognize our Med-Surg nursing team for the knowledge, attention to detail and dedication they bring to patient care every day. Thank you for all you do!
