Butler Alumni just a few weeks away...
There's talk this could be the biggest gathering yet... here's a look a the schedule for the annual Butler Alumni celebration May 28th:
The Butler Alumni parade will hit the Butler square at 11 a.m. with line up at the Ohio Street United Methodist Church at 10:30.
The Butler High School will be open at 2:30 to 5 p.m. for registration and visiting. Meeting at 4 p.m. with refreshments provided. Dues are $5.
Dinner to follow the meeting.

Obituary - Shannon Lucile Schroeder
Shannon Lucile Schroeder, 41, Butler, MO, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Mound City, KS. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, MO. (Cremation).
Shannon was born January 14, 1970 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of William Leslie and Reasa Januita (Galloway) Hawkins.
Shannon was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by three brothers, Darrell Linder, Osceola, MO, Shawn Linder, Garden City, MO, Thomas Kennedy, St. Charles, MO and two sisters, Dovana Cox, Adrian, MO and Shirley Joyceann Saville, Independence, MO.

Adrian Rebekah Lodge #449 hosting teddy bear drive...
Adrian Rebekah Lodge #449 is hosting a TEDDY BEAR DRIVE. The bears will be donated to the Fire Departments and Law Enforcement Departments in Bates County to be given to children involved in disaster situations such as auto accidents or fires. We are asking for your help. If you have a new, or like new, not too big, teddy bear and wish to donate it please call Anita Kershner at (660) 424-0423, Tammy Cushard at (816) 738-0985 or Lorraine Kershner at (660) 267-3687.
You may also contact any member of Adrian Rebekah Lodge or there will be collection boxes placed at various locations in the area.

Poker Run coming June 11th to the Butler square
The Bates County annual Poker Run will be held June 11th on the Butler square to benefit the Bates County Recovery Program- a program created for those in our community sincerely interested in rebuilding their lives after drug abuse.
Cost is $20 for solo riders, $30 for doubles with registration beginning at 9 a.m. The ride departs from the square at 10 a.m.
