Memorial for Arvin Webb from The Saddle Club

In Memory of

Arvin Webb

February 20, 1927 – September 26, 2013

Sixty-one years ago, Arvin Webb, along with 14 other men founded the Butler Saddle Club. Arvin continued to be on site for arena preparation weeks before the performances. He would watch the livestock unload telling stories of years past. In later years, Arvin traded in riding his horse for a John Deere Gator. He also leaves a legacy in the club as his grandson, Tory Webb, and great-grandchildren Whitney, Lane, and Bryce continue the families’ love of the sport. Pictured is Arvin saddling up one last time during the 60^th Annual Rodeo Parade in 2012.

The Butler Saddle Club salutes our friend, family member and founder-- Arvin Webb. You will be greatly missed. 

Obituary - Carolyn S. Shadley

Carolyn S. Shadley, 68, Olathe, Kansas, formerly of High Springs, Florida, died Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. A full obituary will be posted when available.

Harry Robert "H.R." Pearson III, 85, of Kimberling City, MO, formerly of Harrisonville, MO, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his home. A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:00am Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, MO. A full obituary will be posted when available.

UPDATE: From Osage Valley Electric

The Crews are continuing to make progress on the outage repairs in the Creighton and Garden City area. They are working to replace a broken pole and then should be able to restore power.

Osage Valley Power Outages

Approximately 400 members of Osage Vallery Electric are without power in the Garden City and Creighton area. The Crews are working on the issue and will restore power as quickly as possible.
