Man Arrested In Nevada Armed Robbery

The Nevada police Department is investigating the report of a armed robbery that occurred on Saturday November 30 around 7:15pm at the Domino's Pizza Store at 200 S. Adams in Nevada. 

A man walked in and took a undisclosed amount of money at gunpoint and fled. A man that was matching the description of of the robber was arrested by Nevada Police Department a short time later. 

The subject was identified as 34 year old Stephan Partee from Nevada. He was booked into the Vernon County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action, his bond was set at 100,000 cash or surety




UPDATE: Toys For Tykes Sign Ups



 If you missed signing up your child for the Toys for Tykes sponsored by the Butler Optimist Club, you still have a little more time. The deadline for registration is December 6th and you can pick up registration forms at Citizens Bank and at Consultech Machine Shop located on business look I-49 next to the Butler Airport. 

With the registration you must have a photo ID, proof of income and proof of residency, and the application and the proof can be dropped off at Citizens Bank and at the Consultech Machine Shop.

Toys for Tykes are looking for persons or businesses in the Rich Hill, Adrian, Foster and Hume area to adopt either a child or a family. They already have children in these areas that need to be adopted. If you would like to Adopt a Child or even a family contact Kristi at 816-738-0581.

The Mullinax Funeral Home welcomes you to their Holiday Remembrance Service on Sunday, December 8th at 2pm. This Remembrance Service is a time that is set aside to remember loved ones that have passed away this year and in years past.
 
Personalized Angel Ornaments are also available to order at this time. You are invited to submit photos of your loved ones to the Mullinax Funeral home to be used in a video presentation during the service. Free copies of the video presentation will be available as a keepsake. The deadline to submit a photo is 4pm on Wednesday, December 4th. The photos will be returned to you.

Where: Bates County Route O between Route B and SE 7586 Road east of Rich Hill

When: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3

What: MoDOT crews replacing drain pipes underneath the road



Traffic Impacts: Drivers will have to find an alternate route around the closing. Drivers will be able to get to driveways and other entrances on either side of the closing. However, they will NOT be able to travel through the work zone.

Bad weather could postpone the project.

Weather Update: Mild Weather Followed By Late - Week Bitterly Cold Air


Mild, dry weather will continue today through Tuesday with above normal temperatures. Watch for patchy dense fog this morning. A strong cold front will move through the region Tuesday evening, ushering in a polar airmass that will persist through the weekend. There will be a chance of light snow on Thursday and Thursday night, with minor accumulations possible. Temperatures are not expected to exceed the freezing mark for several days beginning Wednesday night.

Wanted Sex Offender Could Be In Area

 
Kevin Hill is wanted on a Missouri parole violation warrant for statutory sodomy.

Kevin Hill is wanted on a Missouri parole violation warrant for statutory sodomy. The original offense occurred in 2008 in Lawrence County Missouri and involved the sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy.  Hill's last known address was the Kansas City Community Release Center, located at 651 Mulberry St., in Kansas City. 

He absconded from that location in October. His current location is unknown. Kevin Hill is from the Nevada, Missouri area and could possible be back in this area. He is a registered sex offender in Jackson County and has been known to be physically violent and should be considered dangerous.
