Weather Update: Snow to overspread the region tonight
Snow should increase in areal coverage later this evening and then continue through the overnight hours. Right now, models are advertising two distinct areas of higher snowfall totals. The first area is right along the I-70 corridor, with the second further south towards the Lake of the Ozarks Region. We remain unsure whether the I-70 band will really take shape this evening as the atmosphere remains very dry in the low-levels. Combine this with the fact that the storm system should gradually sink south through the overnight period, and the model's very poor handling of this system; this latest forecast remains less than overly confident to say the least.
